Why Counseling?

Throughout the course of our lives, each person develops and changes. We are often faced with a number of stressful events and dilemmas. Our response to these events has an effect on each individual and greatly influences our ability to function effectively in our future. Many individuals and families depend on support from different groups such as friends and family, while others find insight and direction from reading and research. Some individuals find benefit from talking with a counselor. Those who are looking for help with stressful situations and emotional concern from a counselor are encouraged to contact the Hope Counseling Center. During your time spent in counseling, you will receive assistance through a variety of counseling interventions. These skills focus on helping individuals, marriages, and families resolve the difficulties they are facing.

About Counseling:

To schedule an appointment at Hope Counseling Center please call 407-870-0520 and select option 2. At the initial session, information is obtained by the counselor regarding the issues at hand, pervious attempts at resolving the issue, perceptions of satisfactory solutions, expectations of for change and a brief history of the issue’s formation. This information is gained through direct contact (first session) and through the use of the written intake information sheet which is to be filled out prior to the first full session. Donations are asked to be given at the end of each session.
